Mountain Vista Ladies Golf League
2026 League Guidelines
The Mountain Vista Ladies League is dedicated to the enjoyment and advancement of
the game of golf. All players are encouraged to learn the game and socialize with other
players. The league offers a wonderful opportunity to have a fun golf outing, get some
exercise and meet new friends. Weekly games are scheduled and are geared to all
level of play.
While this is not the US Open, there are prizes at stake, which means that The Rules of
Golf apply! Ask any staffer if you have questions. The best general advice is: play the
course as you find it, play your ball as it lies, and don’t touch it or move it around
between the tee and the green! There are no gimmies or mulligans. Also, pay attention
to the course boundary markers. For example, the white stakes to the left of # 1, the
right of #6, and the right of #9 are course boundary markers. LOCAL RULE: SHOTS
HIT OB DON’T REQUIRE A PROVISIONAL SHOT. SIMPLY BRING BALL TO THE
EDGE OF THE FAIRWAY ON THE LINE IT WENT OB, NO CLOSER TO HOLE, AND
ADD TWO STROKE PENALTY. SEE INSTRUCTIONS ON LEAGUE BOARD. Never
play a ball from out of bounds. If you do, your score for that round will not count, and
you won’t be eligible for the weekly prize.
There are two options for league play. Tuesday Ladies League has individual weekly
games and points are earned each week to determine overall winners at the end of the
season. Wednesday Ladies Leagues has a combination of individual and team weekly
games, with no weekly points competition.
Tuesday tee times will be open for league from 3:00 – 5:30

Tee Times
Mountain Vista reserves tee times for league play. The goal is to fill each tee time with
a foursome when possible.
With tee times reserved for league play, your commitment to play as much as
possible is greatly appreciated.
Weather Conditions
The Mountain Vista staff determines whether to cancel league play due to bad weather.
Always operate on the assumption that we will play, even it is raining, etc. where you
are. If you are present and the play is called off, there is still the opportunity to gather
and enjoy great social time together!
Speed of Play
Speed of play can be a real concern! This is an issue not only for the efficient operation
of the course itself, but also to participating members. Players are asked to make every
effort to play Ready Golf. Keep up with the group ahead of you!
Any players that reach a double par score and has not yet holed out, pick up the ball
and score a double par on the scorecard for that hole. There should be no scores
over a double par on any scorecard.
A nine-hole round should be completed in 2 hours and 15 minutes or less!!
