About: Irma Whitman has been the golf instructor at Mountain Vista Greens Golf Course in Fort Collins Colorado for over thirty years and is a certified golf club fitter for the course. She enjoys instructing players of all abilities, helping to improve their game and become more consistent players. Irma has experience teaching individuals, and groups on and off the course. Irma is known for her ability to adjust to player’s individual needs and skill levels, providing them with simple solutions to help them play better. She also has extensive experience organizing clinics for businesses and corporations. Irma established the Mountain Vista Greens Student Golf Academy She is also the founder of the Mountain Vista Ladies League. Several of her former students have earned PGA status. You will feel at ease with her down to earth personality and the fun and rewarding environment she creates for her students.

About: I grew up in Colorado and fell in love with the game of golf at the age of 12. My first job in golf was at City Park 9 working for Jim Greer and I began to hone my skills. When I was 15 I worked at the Fort Collins CC for Ray Bostich and by the age of 17 I was a 2 handicapper. After graduating from Poudre High School I attended CSU and played on the varsity Golf Team.
After my College golfing days were over I decided to turn Pro and moved to California. I was elected to the PGA of America Class A in 1997 and have been a Golf Professional for the past 35 years. In that time, I have been an Assistant Golf Professional at some of the most prestigious golf courses in Southern CA.
I have also been the Head Golf Professional and managed all the day to day operations at 4 of the nicest courses in Southern and Northern CA. In that time, I have hosted many prestigious golf tournaments such as the Northern CA Open, the NCPGA – Assistants Championship, the Sevillano Links Pro-Am, the PWGA Women’s Championship, the Northern CA Girl Scouts Charity Tournament along with 60 high profile Tournaments every year. Additionally, I have taught over 10,000 golf lessons to Students of all abilities and skill levels making even rookies to play better golf.
I have taught fellow Golf Professionals, Scratch Amateurs, accomplished golfers, beginners, Women and over 600 Juniors the game of golf.
