Mountain Vista Golf Course-2008 TOURNAMENT FEES & POLICIES Thank you for choosing Mountain Vista! Please read this information carefully, and call if you have questions. A $100 non-refundable deposit is required to complete your reservation.

Unlimited warm up range balls are available at $5/player. This option is available only if purchased for all players in your event.
PRICES ARE SUBJECT TO CHANGE WITHOUT NOTICE! Reduced rates for juniors & seniors are not offered for tournament play. Annual passes, punch cards, and other offers are not valid for tournament play. Prime time =weekends & holidays. Bookings are available April through October-at least 14 days in advance.
PLEASE READ THESE POLICIES CAREFULLY! The tournament organizer is responsible for informing all participants of them. If problems arise, the organizer will be notified, and will be expected to assist our staff in obtaining immediate compliance. Violators may be required to leave the course with no refund.
We define a tournament as an event with 5 or more groups. Tournaments must go off in groups of four. The maximum number of players for any tournament is 72, except for 9-hole, non-shotgun start tournaments.
SHOTGUN STARTS REQUIRE A MINIMUM OF 64 PLAYERS, AND A MAXIMUM OF 72 PLAYERS. Motorized cart rental is required for shotgun tournaments. Because we cannot allow anyone else on the course for more than two hours before shotgun starts, normal start time is 7:30 am-unless you are booking 2 consecutive shotgun start events the same day.
You must confirm a minimum number of participants at least 7 days before your tournament date. Because we turn away public play and reserve the course and carts specifically for your event, you will be required to pay for at least the minimum number of players and carts you confirmed, regardless of actual turnout. We may or may not be able to add more tee-times for your event after the 7-day deadline.
PAYMENT IS DUE BEFORE THE FIRST GROUP CAN BEGIN. Golf course staff will not collect fees from your participants. We will conduct ONE cash, check, or credit card TRANSACTION with the tournament organizer. To avoid unnecessary costs, we recommend that you set a deadline and collect fees two weeks before your event.
Please play 9-hole events within 2 hours & 15 minutes, and 18-hole events within 4 hours and 30 minutes.
Each golfer must have a set of clubs in a golf bag. Some rental sets are available. No metal spikes are allowed, and flat-soled shoes are required.
MOTORIZED CARTSCarts are required for shotgun start events. For other events, carts may be reserved in advance only if all players in the event are riding, and the carts are paid for as part of the single transaction mentioned above. Otherwise, availability is limited, and players may rent carts on a first-come, first-served basis at the course on the day of the event.
Cart drivers must be at least 18 years old. Maximum of 2 riders and 2 golf bags per cart…NO EXCEPTIONS! Keep carts on paths where available, or at least 30 feet from greens and tees. Any damage to carts or the course will be charged to the party responsible. Based upon turf conditions, the superintendent may prohibit the use of motorized carts. SUCH CANCELLATIONS MAY OCCUR WITH LITTLE OR NO ADVANCE NOTICE!
ADVERSE WEATHER CONDITIONS
In the materials provided to the tournament organizer, we included a warning about the unpredictability of lightening. We do not utilize a warning system to notify participants of dangerous weather. Each golfer and/or guest is at Mountain Vista Golf Course at his or her own risk. Please advise your group of these facts, and to seek immediate, appropriate shelter should adverse weather conditions arise.
Because of demand, we cannot schedule more than one date for your event. We can reschedule your event if it is rained out. If inclement weather arises after your event begins, our regular rain-check policy applies.
PLEASE NOTE: for safety reasons, children under the age of 8 are not allowed on the course for any reason! Pets are also not allowed anywhere on the premises. Spectators and other non-players are not allowed on the course without specific permission from Mountain Vista staff. Anyone permitted on the course must stay within the areas designated by our staff.
Personal coolers are not allowed on the course. Our “Outta-Bounds Club” is a licensed food and alcoholic beverage establishment, with exclusive rights to serve your event. Contact Matt O’Dell at (970) 219-3750 at least 14 days before your event to discuss food and beverage issues. You must confirm final food and beverage arrangements at least 7 days before your event. Alcoholic beverages not purchased from Mountain Vista Greens will be confiscated, and those in possession will be subject to possible legal sanctions.
Any markings applied to the golf course for your event require approval at least 7 days in advance, and must be applied by Mountain Vista staff. Any signs, vehicles, or other property brought onto the premises for your event must also be approved at least 7 days in advance.
